Since my move to TX, I have taken a break from coaching.  However, if you are interested in running, I am happy to coach you!  I have an option for "virtual" coaching, and have several clients in different stages of their running careers (from beginner to intermediate runners) that are being coached virtually now.  Ask me how I can start you on your path to a 5k, 10k or even a half marathon--virtually OR if you live in my hometown and you have a group of 5 people, I would be happy to start a coaching group again.  My specialty, and my passion, is to work with the beginner runner.  Let me know if I can help you get started!

This spring, I will be offering 2 programs.  The first is a Beginner 5K program that will take people from their couches to running a 5K in 10 weeks--or will train you to run a faster 5K than you have previously.  The second program is the 5 Miler program, which will take the more experienced runner from the 5K distance to the 5 Mile distance in 10 weeks.

The Spring 5K program will start February 14th, 2013.  The 5K program will have 2 sections--"true" beginner runners AND experienced 5K runners that have taken some time off, or are trying to improve their 5K time.  The goal race for this section is the Clarksburg 5K on April 13th.

The 5 Miler program is for anyone that can run 3 miles continuously and is looking for that next challenge.  This program will start on March 14th, 2013.  The goal race for the 5 Miler Group is the Germantown 5 Miler on May 18th, 2013.

Both groups will meet Thursdays at 9:30 for a coached group run, then the rest of your training will be done on your own.  Last session, the group ended up running together (without the coach) on their other running days.  The Advanced 5K and the 5 Miler group will have speed work on the track worked into their training routines.

Registration for these races is NOT included in your enrollment for this program--and these races sell out quickly, so please register for them as soon as you can.  I will provide links to participants in both programs.

Cost for the 5K training program is $80.

Cost for the 5 Miler program is $90.

Both of the programs include one coached run each week , a "Just Run" t-shirt, a customized training program (I can customize for your specific training needs), and individual attention from your coach--focusing on your specific race goals.

Just Run's Winter Maintenance program starts NEXT Thursday, 11/29/12 at 9:30.  We will run together once or twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays for 8 weeks.
The program entails:
  • a maintenance running plan for those who have already run a 5K
  • once or twice weekly coached group runs
While there is no "planned" 5K goal race at the end of the program, the group may decide to run a race in February to test our 5K fitness.  Registration for that race will be the responsibility of each individual runner.
The cost of this Maintenance Plan is $40.  You can pay by check at the first meeting, or you can click on the link on the right hand of the screen and pay with PayPal.
Feel free to invite your friends to run with you!  This is not a beginner group, but anyone that can run up to 2 miles continuously is welcome!
The Just Run Fall 5K running group just ran their goal race, The City of Gaithersburg's Run Under the Lights 5K at Seneca Creek State Park on 11/17/2012.
What a fantastic night for  a run.  The lights were gorgeous, the crowds were manageable, the course was difficult (but not impossible).
We all started out running together, but quickly found our own paces and ran the race in our own way.  I am so proud of my group!  They were committed to their training each week for the 10 week session, and their commitment to their training showed in their results.
